  • I have been taking my Persian cat to Danelle German of The Catty Shack for several years. Even though the drive from Anderson to Simpsonville is longer than I’d like, it is well worth the time. I like to keep my cat in full-coat so that he looks full and fluffy. With Danelle’s experience in grooming Persians I know he’s going to come home looking fantastic every time. She always takes the time to trim his face and [...]

  • What do you do when your long-hair cat has a behavior problem and is in need of grooming. You need a groomer that can handle her but is not too physical with her. This would result in a bad experience, a bad haircut, and lots of stress for all of us.
After finding Danelle at the Catty Shack we were pleased to find that not only did Rosie get a good haircut, but she also had a good demeanor afterwards. [...]

Morgan Reynolds
Owner
I have been an animal lover all my life but my first love has always been cats. I Started grooming dogs at Pet Smart (2005 – 2007) and then took up dog training until hurting my back in November 2008. In November, 2009 Danelle approached me for the 2nd time about taking over The Catty Shack, ownership was transferred on Dec. 1, 2009. I love what I do. It’s like I finally found my calling in this crazy world. Whether in the North Georgia mountains, South Georgia or right here in Upstate Greenville, South Carolina, my kitties always seem to find me. As the new owner of The Catty Shack, my goal is to continue the excellent service that The Catty Shack has a reputation for and look forward to serving you and your felines for many years. BTW Never owned a dog in my life!

Olivia German, CFMG
Master Groomer
I started showing Persians with my mom at 8 and in doing so learned how to handle and groom them. After many years of showing, my mom started her cat grooming business and I would help her out in between my school. At age 11 I really had a passion for grooming and it has grown more intense ever since. In 2009 when I turned 18 I qualified and tested successfully for my CFMG (Certified Feline Master Groomer) title. As the youngest in the nation to become certified, grooming is what I love and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else as a profession. This year I am attending my second semester as a freshman at Greenville Tech (Greenville, SC) and working toward a degree in business. I hope to later down the road fill in for the NCGIA (National Cat Groomers Institute of America) as a part time instructor, but will remain grooming at the Catty Shack full time for many years to come.
